Meri

Hey there! I’m Meri 👋
I’m 26, originally from Addis Ababa, and yes—I’m a flight attendant with Ethiopian Airlines, which means I’m basically a professional sky traveler (and I’ve mastered the art of looking fresh after a 12-hour flight).
About me:
I work as a flight attendant for Ethiopian Airlines, flying to destinations across Africa, Europe, Asia, and beyond. It’s more than just serving coffee at 30,000 feet—it’s about connecting with people from every corner of the world and making their journey memorable. I studied hospitality management, but honestly, I learn more from the passengers I meet and the cities I explore than I ever did in a classroom.
What I love:
Exploring new cities during layovers (Paris, Dubai, and Bangkok are my favorites)
Finding authentic local restaurants wherever I land
Traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremonies—nothing beats the ritual and flavor
Cooking experiments (my doro wat is perfection, my pasta… still learning)
Deep conversations that make long flights feel short
Random facts:
I’ve visited over 40 countries through my job
I speak Amharic, English, French, and basic Arabic
I’m that person who actually enjoys airport bookstores
Sustainability matters to me—I try to minimize my footprint despite all the flying
I can’t resist buying traditional crafts from every country I visit
Looking for:
Someone who appreciates good conversation, doesn’t take life too seriously, and has stories to share. Bonus points if you’ve got travel recommendations or can teach me something new about your culture.
If you think we’d vibe, let’s grab Ethiopian coffee (or something stronger) and see where it goes 😊
